I stumbled upon this sight as I was doing some research for the 24-hour mardi gras costume. I just really liked the looks of this Japanese fashion exhibit in San Francisco! I have a feeling Maya will, too (ahem, Comme des Garcons). And we all know how much I love pleats...

Suzan Lori-Parks: Turtle Soup

Okay... here is my theoretical cast for Turtle Soup:
In the role of turtle/soldier, we have the most stereotypical soldier possible. I just watched the Hurt Locker recently- thought it was great. He is what I think of when I think of the quintessential soldier. And...

Somewhere in between these two pictures would be my Mary and Joe. They would be very young, and of course, Mary would be pregnant. They should be almost stereotypically "un-American."
